That Summer Feeling

"When the smell of the lawn makes you flop down on it

When the teenage car gots the cop down on it

The time is here for one more year

And that summer feeling is gonna haunt you

One day in your life."

Off With Their Heads

This weekend Brooklyn hosted the Coupe du Monde of fencing. The world cup event attracts the best fencers in the world. I didn't make it there. But on Sunday afternoon I did find myself a dozen blocks away watching my son duel it out in a tournament at the Brooklyn Fencing Club.

Near New Brunswick, Day 1

I made a lot of pictures in and around the hotel I recently stayed at in New Brunswick New Jersey. I'll post them in 3 separate posts. Day 2 will be on Monday.

Marlboro Man

I've just returned from a four-day baseball tournament in Marlboro, New Jersey. The good news is that my son's team went 5 and 0 and took home the first place trophy. Unfortunately he missed a few of the games. He and his mates horsed around the hotel like monkeys on crack and one of his friends accidentally slammed a room door on his finger. A late night visit to the hospital and a finger full of stitches later and it was back to the dug out to watch his team finish off the competition.
