There has been a lot of press lately about the auction that Michael Jackson is holding to sell off many of his former possessions that, like Jackson himself, once inhabited his Neverland Ranch. It's a shame that Michael Jackson never commisioned someone like William Eggleston to photograph the Neverland Ranch when it was occupied and in full swing. Eggleston would have been the perfect Medium and we can only imagine the pictures he would have conjured there. It's a loss to see Jackson's curious and eccclectic personal treasures removed from their context and described only as necessary to facilitate a quick sale.
