I have a tendency to veer towards the sentimental and the romantic. Always poison when aiming for clear and persuasive expression. At times I need to steer myself to avoid falling into this trap. But, after the recent winter, the economy, war and politics, it was difficult, when stepping out of doors on early and warm weekend mornings, to not feel... well..... hopeful. So after taking measure of some of what truly matters, spring, family, a Cheeseburger Deluxe with a milkshake, I'll drop a few pictures and a quote from Leonard Cohen.
"Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in."
