as much as i'm dying to go to cleveland, am willing to give up plane tickets. how about a clue?? the more i look at this, the more timeless it seems. is it american in the 50s? france in the 30s? throw a bone, won't ya?
okay, so how about a hint? cleveland forfeited. 40's? 50's usa? france?
Plane tickets? Were talking bus tickets baby! Were in a recession. It was made in the U.S. 1950's. The photographer is not from Ohio or Europe.
I just checked and the correct date given is 1928-30. Though I suspect that's wrong.
The picture is by Walker Evans. 1928-30.
